Michaela Ryšavá has been a dancer and choreographer since she was a child. She is a pure Brno girl and she does not plan to disappear from this excellent realm. She came to Irish dance 11 years ago and since then it has been her main artistic expression. She joined Démáirt Dance Group in 2015 and less than two years later she has already contributed her first choreography to the company’s repertoire. Míša believes that dance is the aesthetic side of music. It is a language that can speak hand in hand with melody, together conveying feelings and emotions, joy or reflection. The biggest inspiration for Míša is the music itself. Have you ever tried just closing your eyes, not feeling anything else and letting yourself be carried away into its distinctive world?
Besides the artistic side of dance, more practical things are important to Míša as a choreographer, such as the ability and comfort of the dancers, but also a certain aspect of challenge with each new dance. Going beyond what is known and tried is the most fun!
Míša now works as the main choreographer and leader of the Démáirt group, lecturer of Irish dance classes and co-organiser of Irish events in Brno. Apart from dancing, she is also interested in other visual arts, so you can meet her at non-dance workshops.
