ceilí dances, balfolk and technical background

irish ceilí dance

audiotechnics

He stumbled upon Irish dances by accident in 2013, when he watched Irish dancers perform two whole dances to live music at the Beltine festival, before the dancers were missing a person. After a night of dancing (when he had no idea what his feet were actually doing) he decided he wanted to learn and with this curiosity he came to the Démáirt Ceilí Club. He lasted here until today and now runs the Ceilí Club with his wife.

During his time at the Ceilí Club, he and others were approached by Anna Ward and thus became one of the founding members of Ton Simple, where he mainly dealt with technical matters from the beginning, and where he currently helps out as a balfolk lecturer.

During his time at Ceilí Club and Ton Simple, he started to focus more on sound engineering and currently provides sound for most Irish and Balfolk events. So if you can’t find him on the dance floor, he’s sitting behind the mixing desk making sure the dancers have the best possible musical experience.
